Listing Details

An unusual FDR signed item, this is from 1917. Signed as the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, this is fascinating as FDR is clearly unhappy with the work of some United States judges and discusses the requirement that they step aside if they cannot work at full productivity. Perhaps a pre-cursor to FDR's frustration with the Supreme Court about 20 years hence, this is a really nice FDR letter. JSA LOAA.
