Listing Details

One of my personal favorite items, these are so beautiful. Almost certainly given to candy stores and retailers to promote the 1941 Play Ball set, these have strikingly rich color and outstanding eye appeal, well above the cardboard cards. Issued on a quality paper stock, these are presented on two twelve-card sheets. These sheets offer HOFers Ted Williams from his historic .406 season, Foxx, Greenberg, Gehringer, Ruffing, Vaughan, Ott and Hubbell. The offered lot is strikingly crisp and clean, as nice a pair of these great sheets as we have ever seen or handled. We do not feel or see any obvious creases on any of the cards, the edges have only very slight wear. As a note, the Ted Williams card in a PSA 9 traded for $39,000 in late 2024, the Foxx in a 6.5 $1,500 the same year. We do not feel any surface defects on the Ted Williams. These are almost profoundly undervalued in today s market, this is an outstanding item to put away for some time and let the market hopefully sort itself out.
