Listing Details

A very unusual Babe Ruth card from the 1920s, this is postcard size. Freshly slabbed, the offered lot has the nicest image image we have ever seen on this card. The card has four sharp corners and very clean borders. The blank back looks good, the 5 grade appears to be very conservative. Cut almost complete to the top border, the miscut qualifier might be a bit unfair as there is a sliver of white border showing at the top margin. Either way, this is an exceptionally sharp and clean example of a very condition sensitive 1920s Babe Ruth card due to the paper stock used in production and the method of issue (3-card strips). Good card.
