Listing Details

One of the great baseball cards, how neat is it that the PCL made this card of a Rookie named Joe DiMaggio starting in 1933. Scarcer than the throwing variation, many believe this is Joe's true Rookie Card. Freshly slabbed, PSA was a bit conservative with the grade here. The front of the card has no visible creases or wrinkles, even under magnification. The bottom two corners are fairly crisp, the two two show a fair amount of wear. There is wear on the left border, the surfaces are quite clean overall. The photo of a so-young DiMaggio is bright, clear and well focused. The card displays extremely well overall, and retains terrific eye appeal. The blank back is not bad at all, some writing has been erased and there is slight creasing. So much tougher to find than a 1952 Topps Mantle or most Babe Ruth cards, these seem to us be a rare outstanding value in today's market. One of the biggest names in baseball history, this is an important and terrific card.
