Offered is an S76 silk featuring Napoleon Bonaparte, encapsulated and designated Authentic by SGC. Produced during the early twentieth century, S76 silks were issued on woven fabric rather than traditional cardboard, creating one of the hobby's most distinctive premium formats. This example depicts the famed French military leader and emperor and has been authenticated and encapsulated by SGC. The image retains terrific vibrance and has great color, this displays really well. This may have been cut short, we do not why it did not receive a numerical grade. Issued as tobacco premiums, S76 silks featured a variety of historical figures, flags, and other popular subjects of the era. Their fabric construction and colorful printed designs distinguish them from conventional trading cards and have made them enduring favorites among collectors of early tobacco memorabilia. Authenticated by SGC, this Napoleon Bonaparte example represents a classic surviving tobacco silk from the pre-war era.
