The N690 Kalamazoo bats are a truly revered 19th century card issue. Prized and fought over at auction by top collectors for decades, these wonderful cards offer unique high quality images from this fascinating very early era in baseball history. The offered card has a superb image of a tagging play in the field. You have to love the uniforms here! Both players are looking directly at the camera, the photography here is just terrific. The front of the card is clean, mild back wear in a few spots keeps this card at a technical 1.5. Quite scarce, there has not been a single sale for one of these since 2022 on VCP (SGC 3 for $2,040). This is the kind of card that really has to be held in hand, the pictures can never do it justice.
