The key to this great set, this is a cornerstone 19th century HOF card. A vital name in this era in baseball history, these cards are such bargains right now to our eyes. The offered card has rich color and a fine image. The front of the card has no visible creases and crisp edges. There is a tiny nick on the left border, some slight general surface wear and slight wear at the bottom border. The back of the card has one stray mark, there is no paper loss, it also displays well. We are not sure why this did not get a numeric grade, perhaps it was cut slightly shot. Either way, this is a terrific card that has a lot going for it.
