One of the great names in sports, Roberto Clemente is a truly beloved HOF player and American hero. Clemente's tragic death created an enormous shortage for his signature, cut autographs can bring thousands of dollars. The offered lot is a strikingly nice signed full 8x10 photo. Likely from the late 1960s, this has a strikingly clear black and white of a very pensive Clemente in uniform. Boldly signed Best Wishes Roberto Clemente, the placement is just perfect. Signed in attractive blue ink, the autograph contrasts really well against the photo itself. The photo itself has some fine creasing and wear, the signature is not affected in any way. Scarce and extremely desirable, this is such a better buy than a modern refractor card for $10,000 or more. JSA LOA (full).
