A very early and desirable Shoeless Joe Jackson period card, these have exploded in price in recent years. Printed on very fragile paper, these are very difficult to find without major tears, creasing, chipping and other condition issues. The offered piece has a superb image that is perfectly clean and fine. This grade a 1 due to perhaps 2/8 of an inch closed tear at the top border. The surfaces are exceptionally clean overall. The corners look good, the edges are exceptionally crisp for this super condition sensitive issue. The blank back looks great, there is some extremely fine creasing by the left border. Joe Jackson s only oversize card, the larger format allows for a terrific image of the sabled Sholess Joe leaning over to make a play in the field. It would truly be almost impossible to find a nicer example of this card in this grade. The market on quality Joe Jackson cards has been truly explosive in recent years with his likely impending HOF Induction, this card has everything going for it.
