A revered and very scarce caramel set, these were produced on very fragile paper, making them supremely condition sensitive. One of the absolute key cards to this great set, these are extremely rare. Only oneo examples have traded on VCP since 2016 (7/2021 PSA 1 $43,200 and 5/2024 PSA 1 - the same card traded twice). Freshly slabbed at the National, this is a truly special card of the legendary Ty Cobb. Low grade, this has a substantial crease through the middle of the card on the front. There is a chip at the upper left corner, the back has paper loss and issues. Despite these condition flaws, the card retains great color and has a flawless image of Ty Cobb leaning against his bat. How many Ty Cobb cards exist from this era that are only a total population of 2 (the offered card is half of the population!). It is very, very unusual to find a freshly slabbed Ty Cobb of this rarity and significance from a great 1910 era card set.
