A revered 19th century issue, these are among the earlier team cards ever produced. The offered has a highly evocative image of ten very early baseball players from the Pittsburgh team standing in uniform. Six have mustaches, this is so late 19th century America! The image clarity is very solid here. The card has extensive corner wear and has creasing has well, but the card still retains its full period charm. The blank back has some general wear and creasing, #690 is written on the back, perhaps this was a notation from an old time collector. Rare, only three of these have ever traded on VCP, just two with numeric grades. Great card.
