McGowan, a HOF umpire, was an intersting signer. For this baseball, McGowan penned his signature, but also wrote the signatures of the other players on the baseball per the JSA LOA. The ball is fairly clean, the signature is inscribed but on the sweet spot. The autograph is light but legible. A very scarce single, HOFer McGowan died in 1954. JSA LOA (full).
