The true Rookie Card of Mickey Mantle, these have been appreciating rapidly in recent months as they seem like such bargains compared to Mantle's 1952 Topps card. The offered card has rich color and a superb image. There are no print lines, the borders are white, the corners come to points. Cut fully to the right border, the front has terrific eye appeal given the sharpness and freshness of the card. The back has fine creasing that does not crack the paper, there are no stains. The 2 grade is very conservative to our eyes, we feel this should have been a 3. Either way, this is a very attractive example of an important card.
