A monumental card from the 1940s, this is the key card of this beloved Negro League HOFer and all around great guy! The key card to a vital set, these are always scarce and super desirable. Freshly slabbed, we have examined this card very closely under magnification and do not follow why PSA rated this as AA. Miscut to the bottom border, it is possible this was handcut at the bottom border, and PSA therefore considered it trimmed, but this is just a theory. The card has rich color and a fine image,with no print issues. The front of the card has some fine creasing and displays very well overall. The back of the card is quite clean overall, the print quality is perfect, it appears to be free of any technical flaws and displays really well. A rare and desirable card in any grade, this is a great card.
