One of the most attractive issues from this golden era of card production, this is a very special item. A beloved little set, the baseball card run has just four cards, but they are all HOFers. A wonderful issue with great images and a slightly large size, these are terrific to admire when held in hand. A fresh to market set, our consignor obtained these years and years ago. The cards are as follows: (1) Ty Cobb PSA 1 (has creasing and lots of wear, the color is vibrant, the image displays well, the back has no paper loss or damage); (2) Home Run Baker PSA 1 (centered with great color and a clean back, creasing keeps this at a 1); (3) Chief Bender PSA 1 (well centered with great color, a closed tear by the right border appears to be the main issue here) and (4) Rube Marquard PSA 2 (centered to the right border with creasing, the color is rich, the back is clean). The Ty Cobb has exploded in value in recent years, creating a rarity for full sets. Great lot.
