Special items come up all the time in today s market, but the offered lot is simply a stunner. This lot is a 1954 New York Yankees Old Timers Day original press photo. The image pictures five players: Dazzy Vance (Dodger uniform), George Hooks Wiltse (Giants uniform), Carl Hubbell (Giants uniform), Ed Walsh (White Sox uniform) and Cy Young (Cleveland Indians uniform). REMARKABLY, THIS IS SIGNED BY ALL FIVE PLAYERS. Very possibly a 1/1, Cy Young died in 1955, Ed Walsh in 1959. The signatures vary in darkness, all are fully legible. A real homage to baseball, this is a museum worthy signed photo. JSA LOAA.
