Listing Details

The 1962 New York Mets yearbook is the ultimate team yearbook. Prized by yearbook collectors, it is by far the most valuable vintage team yearbook. The cover design is just adorable. These come around signed regularly, but only by very common autographs from shows in the 1990s and 2000s. The offered lot is fully vintage signed and truly remarkable. The cover could not have any more signatures, they are all in slightly light but fully legible blue ballpoint ink. The absolute key here is Gil Hodges; this is the first 1962 Met yearbook that we have ever seen or heard of with a Hodges signature. The other signatures include HOFer Red Ruffing (also almost impossible on a 1962 Met yearbook), Moorhead (D'1986 at age 48), Ashburn, Throneberry, Thomas, Craig, Neal and Hickman. The yearbook cover has natural toning and is not bad at all, the spine is fine, the interior pages are clean. This is the June 25th version of this seminal yearbook, 1962 is written at the top of the front cover in red ink. Who wants to own a fabulous team signed yearbook that no one else has? JSA LOA (full).
