A popular set with a great design, these are always fun to review. From a hobby old timer based on the thin sheets in which the cards are presented and because many cards still have the original wax, the condition is mixed grade but nice. The cards range mainly from VG-Ex to Ex-Mt, averaging in the Ex range overall. There are very crisp and clean secondary stars and commons throughout the set, we did not review these for slabbing. We rate the key cards as follows: 3 Killebrew/Mantle LL VG, 16 Morgan RC VG-Ex/Ex, 134 Mantle WS Ex-Mt+, 155 Maris Ex++, 160 Clemente Ex+, 170 Aaron VG-Ex/Ex, 207 Rose VG-Ex/Ex, 250 Mays VG-Ex, 300 Koufax Ex, 320 Gibson Ex, 350 Mantle VG-Ex/Ex (no creases, centered to upper left corner), 385 Yastrzemski Ex, 400 Killebrew VG-Ex/Ex, 461 Carroll/Niekro Ex, 470 Berra NM o/c, 477 Carlton RC Ex, 510 Banks Ex++, 526 Hunter RC Ex-Mt (mc back), 540 Brock Ex+, 581 Perez RC Ex.
