One of the ultimate baseball cards, these seem like an awfully shrewd buy to our eyes in this market. The offered card is exceptionally crisp, bright and attractive for the grade. The image has absolutely perfect color, registration and focus. The borders are white, there are no print lines or visual defects of any kind. The corners are in the Ex range, the edges are crisp. The offered card has terrific centering left-to-right and is centered slightly to the top border. We have examined the card very closely under magnification under a bright light, and we cannot see any creases or wrinkles. The back has some light general wear to the right side, this might be why it only graded a 3. If you are looking for a Mickey Mantle Rookie Card that punches well above its weight, then this is a card worthy of serious consideration.
